Events East Group, alongside Scotiabank Centre and The Halifax Convention Centre, has been re-certified as a Certified Age-Friendly Employer by the Age-Friendly Institute. This certification recognizes organizations that are committed to creating workplaces where employees aged 50 and over are valued, respected, and supported, free from age bias or discrimination. It is an important milestone that speaks directly to who we are and how we show up for our people every day. Events East was certified in 2023; this renewal reflects our continued commitment to age-friendly workplace practices.

What began as a grassroots passion project in 2010 has evolved into a beloved, 100 percent volunteer-run celebration of fandom, creativity, and community.
