At Halifax Convention Centre, we have the privilege of hosting events that bring people together. ROOTED is a farm-to-table gala experience built around sustainability, storytelling, and a deep respect for Nova Scotia agriculture. Each course highlights a different aspect of farming, showcasing the journey ingredients take from farm to plate and the people behind them.

Every year, Halifax transforms into a world of lightsabers, legendary heroes, cosmic creatures, and pure imagination, all thanks to Hal-Con, Atlantic Canada’s premier sci-fi and fantasy convention. What began as a grassroots passion project in 2010 has evolved into a beloved, 100 percent volunteer-run celebration of fandom, creativity, and community.
