From early planning stages to event day, our team worked alongside organizers to create an environment where connection, conversation, and community could thrive. With nearly 700 guests in attendance, this groundbreaking conference brought together healthcare professionals, advocates, researchers, and women from across the region to shine a spotlight on an important conversation that too often goes unspoken: menopause and women’s health.

It all began in November 2024 with a phone call from the producers of World’s Greatest, a U.S.-based television series airing on Bloomberg Network, which shines a spotlight on standout companies and destinations around the globe. The World’s Greatest team wanted to know more about the Halifax Convention Centre and why we believed we have what it takes to be named the world’s greatest.

This summer, the Halifax Convention Centre proudly teamed up with the Africadian Empowerment Academy to deliver a vibrant summer camp experience, bringing local youth into the heart of a professional kitchen and community service.

We’re excited to share some huge news with our community: the Halifax Convention Centre is officially Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certified™! What does that mean? It means we’ve earned a national stamp of approval for creating a space that’s not just big and beautiful but truly accessible to all. And we’re just getting started.
