UNICEF 2025: 33rd Chefs for UNICEF Water for Life Gala.
In late April, we had the honour of welcoming UNICEF back to Halifax for the 33rd Chefs for UNICEF Water for Life Gala – and what a night it was! The Halifax community showed up in full force, opening their hearts (and their wallets) to support children around the world.
What is UNICEF?
UNICEF (the United Nations Children's Fund) is the world's farthest-reaching children's organization. Active in more than 190 countries and territories, UNICEF works to protect the rights and well-being of every child.
For over 75 years, they've delivered life-saving aid, healthcare, education, and emergency relief in some of the most challenging environments. Here in Canada, UNICEF advances this mission through fundraising, advocacy, and public engagement—empowering Canadians to help build a better, more equitable future for every child.

What's On the Menu?
Every year, our incredible culinary team comes together to craft a one-of-a-kind menu in support of UNICEF—and this year's theme brought a fun, elevated twist on classic comfort food. Guests enjoyed:

🥗 Root-Vegetable Slaw
🥔 Rustic Potato Salad
A nostalgic, flavour-packed menu brought comfort and conversation to every table.
And we can't forget the sweet finish, crafted with love by our talented pastry team. Their eye-catching dessert display was more than just beautiful; it was a true labour of love that had guests coming back for seconds (and thirds).
The Impact.
This event is about more than incredible food—it's about real impact. Each year, guests participate in a silent auction and donation period to raise critical funds for children's nutrition programs around the world.
This year's fundraising goal was $400,000.
By the end of the night? Close to $500,000 was raised.
