A Milestone Moment for Women’s Health: The First Atlantic Menopause Show

Last week, the Halifax Convention Centre was proud to host a sold-out event that marked a powerful first for Atlantic Canada, The Atlantic Menopause Show.

“We always strive to be the backdrop for important conversations,” says Dawn Baldwin, Sales Director at Halifax Convention Centre and member of the event’s organizing committee. “So, when the opportunity came to host an event focused on women’s health, specifically menopause, we jumped at the chance.”

Powered by Partnership

The Halifax Convention Centre was proud to not only host but also sponsor this inaugural event, helping bring the vision of a dedicated women’s health conference to life right here in Halifax. From early planning stages to event day, our team worked alongside organizers to create an environment where connection, conversation, and community could thrive.

With nearly 700 guests in attendance, this groundbreaking conference brought together healthcare professionals, advocates, researchers, and women from across the region to shine a spotlight on an important conversation that too often goes unspoken: menopause and women’s health.

From the start, the energy in the room was undeniable — one of curiosity, connection, and courage. Led by a passionate organizing committee of health experts, women’s health advocates, and event professionals, the show was designed to educate, empower, and normalize conversations about menopause and the journey through every stage of life.

Creating Space for Conversation and Change

As the first event of its kind in Atlantic Canada, the Atlantic Menopause Show offered something truly special: a safe, inclusive space to learn, share experiences, and explore new research, treatments, and products dedicated to women’s health.

The day featured engaging exhibitors, inspiring speakers, and a keynote address from Dr. Ardelle Piper, a leading OB/GYN and Menopause Society Certified Practitioner. Dr. Piper’s message resonated deeply with attendees — focusing on education, empowerment, and the importance of access to care for women everywhere, including those in rural and underserved communities.

Looking Ahead

As proud sponsors of this inaugural event, we at the Halifax Convention Centre are inspired by the impact created in just one day. The success of the Atlantic Menopause Show shows what’s possible when passionate people come together to start meaningful conversations — and we’re excited to welcome more events like this to Halifax.

Together, we’re helping make women’s health a louder, stronger, and more visible part of our community conversation.
