Check out Carrie’s favourite landmarks to help you unwind away from the trade show floor. Best of all, they’re just an easy stroll from our new Centre!

  • Get outside. Feel the culture and vibrancy of our city with a walk through Spring Garden Road shopping district toward our lush Halifax Public Gardens. Take a seat on one of the welcoming park benches, or, in true picnic fashion, prop yourself anywhere in-between the over 16 acres of bright and beautiful Victorian-style gardens.
  • Read a book. Immerse yourself in knowledge at our award-winning Halifax Central Library. You can even stop in and grab a snack-to-go at one of the many cafés and restaurants along the way.
  • Relax on the Hill. There’s no better way to relax and surround yourself with history than by taking a seat anywhere along our Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Here, present meets the past as you soak in the bustling city streets and watch locals and visitors make their way up and down the historic hill. Don’t forget to wave as the Harbour Hopper passes by!

Tip: If you’re stopping by the Hill during your lunch break, don’t be alarmed by the sound of our Noon Gun, a local tradition since 1869 in tribute of Halifax’s military history!
