Connecting local and global ocean experts

Nova Scotia is leading the way in ocean technology, and we couldn’t be more proud of the groundbreaking research and success of our local experts. In recent years, Nova Scotia has attracted over 200 companies and institutions developing ocean-related products and services. The sector is further supported by the tremendous energy potential in the Bay of Fundy and associated work through the Fundy Ocean Research Center for Energy.

It’s no wonder we were selected to host the 2014 International Conference on Ocean Energy (ICOE), marking the first time the conference was held outside of Europe since it started in 2006. ICOE is the global venue for companies, researchers, development centres and operators to exchange information and build relationships with an eye to growing the international marine renewable energy industry.
